Home is where the mountains are
Well, above all it means that every outdoor adventure is right on your doorstep! Growing up in the mountains, we always had epic hiking, skiing, biking, ... which instilled a love for nature and the great outdoors in us. And we love to share this beautiful place with those who appreciate the wonder of it all.
Legendary winter: the skiing holiday on the Arlberg
Our home is world famous for the Arlberg winter. Often referred to as the "cradle of alpine skiing", St. Anton am Arlberg and the Arlberg ski area offer everything a skier's heart desires for the very international public. From perfectly groomed ski slopes in all degrees of difficulty (over 300km) to a fun park on the Rendl and great, untracked freeride slopes for powder fans.
Untracked freeride slopes
In all honesty, these are not so often "untracked". To get hold of really fresh lines, you have to get up and queue up early on the Arlberg and even push a little at the mountain railway. Because some people really take it seriously: no Friends on Powder Days. Good for Omaela guests in our flats: the jostling at the Nasserein cable car right next to our Omaela is a little less intense.
Views and refreshments
Of course, we also love the deep snow skiing, the breathtaking views (e.g. from the Valluga) and the many huts where you can stop for lunch or after skiing (e.g. the MooserWirt or the Sennhütte). We grew up on these ski slopes and in this great ski area, so we know almost every nook and cranny - and are of course happy to pass on our tips to our guests here.
Ski tours on the Arlberg
Ski tours are becoming more and more popular - and our Arlberg also offers the best conditions and great opportunities for this. We, too, are always drawn to the Beg as soon as the first opportunity arises (usually at the end of November). The ski tour can then start right next to our Omaela, for example on the Gampen or Kapall. But there are so many other great routes to work out the freeride descent or empty pistes. On the Rendl, on the Albona, the Galzig (also from St. Christoph), on the Schindler or in the direction of the Kaltenberghütte - all ski tours have one thing in common: a high pulse, great views and a great feeling before the exciting descent.
Summer holidays in Tyrol & on the Arlberg
Winter has dominated the scene on the Arlberg for a very long time, but now summer is also becoming increasingly popular on the Arlberg: the rugged nature, made for adventure, is attracting more and more guests from all over the world. Fresh mountain air, great hiking and mountaineering tours with alpine pastures and peaks and a large network of trails for mountain bikes, e-bikes and racing bike lovers. In summer, there is also the free St. Anton Summer Card for all guests, which offers many offers and possibilities: free mountain railways (1 day), free admission to the swimming pool (1 day), guided bike tours, hiking tours, free children's programme for the kids and much more.
Summer, winter and everything in between
The Arlberg is also worth a trip outside the typical seasonal times of "summer & winter": in spring the fresh mountain meadows impress, in autumn the golden hours with unforgettable sunsets. Experience them on adventurous mountain tours or in our Omaela. And to relax, we have the private sauna for every flat in our Omaela, large showers, cosy living rooms and fine box spring beds. Board games invite you to spend the day in the cosy flat, our vino-take keeps selected wines and other drinks ready, and newspapers & magazines may not be missing either. So: we look forward to seeing you.
